27:2013 (Week of July 3 - 9, 2013)

• More time on Sandy Hook beaches. I think we are at the beach approximately 5 days a week and spend close to 10 hours there, mostly after 5 PM.


• I noticed Erika and I unintentionally make similar faces when taking selfies.


• Fourth of July: Erika and dad went to the Atlantic Highlands Fireman's Fair and rode rides, then to a friend's house to watch the fireworks. I was on bedrest.


• Erika cooked dinner (boiled pasta) and she was very proud. She stood on a dining room chair which she hauled from the adjacent room, all by herself, and climbed up with a chopstick to stir the pasta while it boiled. She made sure she put her chef apron on, because as she pointed out to me, "I took off my pants already and I'm just in my panties, but I better not burn myself." When it's all done, she hollered: "DINNER'S READY!!!!!"

We use chopsticks to make ice tea from mix.

We use chopsticks to clean straws in sippy cups.
