Erika at 11.5 months old Videos

Erika eats pasta with a fork now.

She's also had stinky, loose stools for four days straight. Think she's caught a stomach bug. :(

And today we took her to get her lead levels tested, which involves bloodwork. :( Daddy put her on his lap, and held her arms so she wouldn't squirm, and she cried when the needle went in, but we soothed her and calmed her, and she remained still for the rest of the bloodwork. The entire medical staff (and possibly all the patients in the wait area who were cringing at the thought of a baby getting blood taken) were pleasantly surprised. And everybody kept saying what a beautiful happy baby she was, so she ate that all up; blowing kisses and looking flirtatiously over her shoulder.

All I could think through that whole video was, OMG you are letting her eat with that beautiful sweater on and no bib!!!!!

And also, wow, so that's what it would be like to have a baby who EATS, 'cause I never got to experience that.

*laugh* She hates bibs. She is in the imitating stage where she wont do anything that I don't do, so if I dont wear a bib and I try to put one on her, she tears at it, wails, screams, and claws at it like it's burning her. And then she wont eat for the rest of the day.

So I just feed her and then soak all of her clothes immediately after.

Sadie a picky eater??

Sadie hardly ate any solid food at all until she was almost 4. She has been a super picky eater all along, and is starting to get better (but not great) about trying new things.
