alikiI'm sitting here, reading everyone's personal journals, when B says: "do you realize his ears come up to the top of your shoulders?"
Yes, Kaiser is so big, that when he sits down next to me (he's dutifully seated quietly by my side, carefully guarding my left flank for any cats that might intrude), his ears are as high as my shoulders while I'm seated here at the computer. I'm not on some high-stool. I'm in a regular computer chair, at a regular study desk, in front of a regular-height computer.
I'm sure wherever (and whomever) you may be, take a moment to think about where you are seated, and think about how big a dog must be to have ears as tall as your shoulders. Yeah. Pretty scary, huh.
I found out that Kaiser is so big that by the AKC standards, he's too big to be a show dog? (That, and the fact that he's neutered). The height for males at the top of the highest point of the shoulder blade has to be 24 to 26 inches; while females are to be between 22 to 24 inches. Kaiser, as I've pointed out, is way too tall.
