My new favorite TV show? Hands down, Joan of Arcadia. Watch it, Friday nights, CBS.

The other day, flipping through the channels, I stumbled upon the old episode of Friends, the Chandler-Monica proposal one.

Chandler: I thought that it mattered what I said or where I said it. Then I realized the only thing that matters is that you, you make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And if you'll let me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.

And tears just started rolling down my face, and B looked at me with that look guys get when they're not quite sure if the girl is happy, sad, or about to strangle them to death.

I yelled at B: "I want that!" and he threw his hands up in the air and said: "yeah, but you got Times Square!"

Okay, can't argue there. I do love New York City. It was a great proposal. I wish the first words out of my mouth was something poetic, a declaration of my reciprocal love, or at least an affirmative "yes"... rather, I said "hey, don't drop that!"

January 11th was our 3rd "anniversary". B said I can't call that date, the day we went on our first date, our anniversary anymore because June 12th will be our real (wedding) anniversary. We've decided to dub January 11th our "special day" instead. At least that guarantees a nice dinner, maybe gifts, and possibly a vacation every six months? Hehehe. Factor in birthdays, other anniversaries, and holidays such as Valentine's and Christmas, and I think I'll have a "special gift day" at least once a month.

I made a big boo-boo at work last Thursday. I saw a co-worker/supervisor whom I hadn't seen in over a month, and she had cropped her long waist-length brown hair to a little boyish-cut hairdo. I said, "hey, you cut your hair! It looks great!" She smiled politely and said, "yee-eeaah."

Found out today that she spent her Christmas and New Year's in chemotherapy. And today she's not at work because she's getting more chemo, and later in the day, going with her husband to buy a wig.

Okay-- "that's not real" might just beat mine. I only said "don't drop that!" because we were standing in Times Square over a heat vent that led down to the subway tracks below. Definitely little chance of recovery, should he have dropped the ring.
