snow day and OB check up
Feb. 3rd, 2014 08:34 pmAnother snow day here in central NJ, so school was cancelled for both Erika and I. Sleet in the early AM, followed by heavy snow coming down during the early commuting hours through midday afternoon.
Which was good in a way, since Brian forgot to help Erika with her weekend homework on Saturday, so we spent the late morning after breakfast doing homework. Yes, the 3-year old gets homework from school. She had to find pictures and photos that began with the word "E", and she also had to cut out 6 pictures related to either "Day" or "Night" and paste them in the right place. These two assignments took close to 45 minutes to complete.
Baby then had a OB check up at 1:30 PM so we piled in the car and headed to my OBGYN. Heartbeat sounds great, measuring exactly on track for 33 weeks, and she's moving great and very active. Erika took great measures to hold my hand whenever I had to walk in the snow, and she kisses my belly at least three times a day and says "I love you, Mei Mei". (Mei Mei is Chinese for "younger sister").
