14:2013 (Week of April 3 - 9, 2013)

• Brian has recently gotten into jewelry-making, and Erika has really enjoyed this as an arts & crafts project.


• Erika's "red car" has shrunk (according to Erika) as her feet no longer fit comfortably in it...


• Rainy day calls for purple rain boots with a lizard hoodie sweatshirt.


• Saturday Erika and her dad went to the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, NY.


• I love how Erika and Kade have private "conversations" while lying on the carpeted floor, and when I sneak up on them to snap a quick photo, they look up at me suddenly with this offended look, as if I am an unwelcome intruder to their world...


• ... Did Erika just give me the cutest "F U" in the world? It's like the Erika version of the Irish "tell you go to Hell and you'll look forward to the trip" situation??


• We've been cleaning the house in preparation for Erika's birthday this upcoming Saturday.
