9:2013 (February 27 - March 5, 2013)

• Went house hunting with a realtor (also Erika's babysitter and part-time childcare teacher). Looked at 4 properties, none that were suitable.


• After a whole winter of pestering her to get a larger-sized coat, it's the first week of March before she decides "my purple jacket is too tight, it doesn't fit, I need a new jacket" so we go outlet shopping for a new winter coat on March 2. The only consolation for buying a jacket that will probably not fit her again next year when there is only a few months of cold left is that it was only $30 for a waterproof fleece-lined double-layer jacket.


• More watercolor painting. Her new favorite hobby.


• Erika's latest phrase: "I smell something STINKY!!" followed ten seconds later by a softer: "Momma? I think I farted. Sowwee."


• Went out to dinner on a Tuesday night at an Italian restaurant. Erika didn't a bite (because she was unbeknownst to me, getting sick), but she was incredibly well behaved. Afterwards she wanted to explore the downtown scene, so we walked a few streets and looked at the night lights and the bar/restaurant scene...
