Jun. 29th, 2004 01:00 amI am back from my hiatus. Jet-lagged, exhausted, glad to be home but miss Malaysia terribly. And yes, I am married.
People say that you never forget your wedding day. I'm not sure if that'll hold true, as the cliche goes, the days leading up to the wedding, the day of, and the days after, seemed to have flown by with the whirlwind of last-minute activities, family obligations, stressful moments, and such.
But I will remember the way my father looked when the two of us sat alone in the prayer room, waiting for the ceremony to begin. I will remember the way my hands trembled as I reached to grab his, and how he looked me in the eye, gave me a kiss, grabbed my hand firmly in his, and gave me a solid pat. I will never forget the look on Brian's face when he saw me walking down the aisle. I won't forget the tears in his eyes when I said my vows, promising to love him and be true to him, for the rest of my life. I will remember the hugs and kisses from my friends, my family, and all those who gathered, to celebrate with B and I. Being a bride was fun. But being a wife rocks so much more.
