Kade came home this morning.

He's one of the fattest and most assertive in the litter, so he's perfect. He whimpered a little bit on the ride home, and threw up twice. Then he tentatively walked around the house and got introduced to carpet. And promptly tried to pee on it. Four times in an hour.

He got excited when we put his food down. He met the four cats (three of them are disinterested and left immediately to sun on our back deck, but Psi wont stop following him around the house). I took 30 photos of him in 10 minutes. He tried to pee two more times while I tried to eat lunch (slices of pizza, running around after him). B left for work (I'm home today, he's home Wed and Thur). But now Kade fell asleep at my feet, so he can save up his energy to wake up at 2am and cry the whole night through. :)

wisdom teeth update: 7 days later

I got my wisdom teeth extracted last week and it hurt like a motherfker for the first two days as I sat miserably on the couch, feeling unproductive.

However, I:
- had a liquid diet for three days straight (yoghurt, juice, creamy soups)
- added (a) mushy pasta and marinara sauce and (b) cream cheese on the fourth and fifth day
- added (a) mashed potatoes and (b) really tender and tiny chunks of chicken on the sixth
- I had pizza on the seventh!

I also (a)kept ice on it for 48 hours and (b) used anica gel (thanks D!). And today when I went in for my check-up, he told me to open as wide as I could without pain, and I told him I had no pain at all, and I can open my jaws fully. I also lost all swelling by the fourth day (which is a damn great thing, considering I'm getting married in 17 days). The sockets have healed well (again, he went "WOW!" when he saw it)-- I guess many people don't really do the soft food/liquid diet thing seriously, huh. So when I left the office, I celebrated with my favorite food item--

French fries. MmMMmM.
