Saddam captured. (though I heard a radio station say he was "harvested")

Sandra won.

Snow this weekend was large and wet. Perfect for making a snowman. Unfortunately I was indoors, sick.

As an update, my roommate has been sick (coughing, sneezing, hacking her lungs out) for seven weeks straight. There is something seriously wrong with her and she refuses to see the doctor. I am living in 900 square feet of germ-infested space.

I haven't been posting much in LiveJournal. I think this is due to the fact that I am stressed out with real life and terribly sick. Plus, there hasnt' been much drama in my life, and I'd rather much like to keep it that way.

Okay. My roommate went into a coughing fit for 104 seconds *straight*, where she turned red in the face and couldn't stop choking as she hacked, coughed and thumped her chest while gasping desperately for air.

This will commense again in two minutes. This is ridiculous.

Edit: 12.17pm. Only one minute later. She started coughing violently again.

"No matter what side of the political spectrum you are on, if you are incapable of feeling at least a tiny amount of joy at watching ordinary Iraqis celebrate this, you are lost to the ideological left. And let me also add if you are incapable of feeling badly that we even had to use force in the first place, you are ideologically lost to the right."

Going to a New Year's Eve party. I need to look stunning because it's B's semi-ex girlfriend (I say "semi-" because they never really dated officially but they did certainly did things that couples do). I was excited to wear a cute littl' black dress.

Turns out when B called her to RSVP, she said it's a theme party. The theme is garb from the 20's to the '50's. As an international student with little knowledge of what happened in America (fashion-wise) from the 1920's to the 1950's, please give me links or pictures of cute outfits that I'll look stunning in. From what I've seen online, it seems most of the stuff looks frumpishly baggy overhanging at the waist, not form fitting in the chest, and poofy at the hips (argh argh argh!). B said to pick out something like a sweatshirt with a letter on it and a knee-length skirt (think Betty from Archie Comics).

Much love,
Clare
