I'm back from my eight-day off-shore research vessel cruise. We essentially got zero data, which is not only disappointing, it is downright embarassing. We slunked back to Jersey with our tails between our legs.
Disappointing, but negative data is still data, right? It's as important to know where the critters aren't, as where they are (or so they told me in observer training). It is more fun to actually do what you're supposed to be doing, but any day out on a boat is better than one in an office. :)
