Kaiser

Do you know how big Kaiser is? He measures 27" at the shoulder blades. This means that the top of his head passes at about an even 3 feet. Can you imagine a 3-foot tall dog?

Kaiser's visiting us for the week (Tues through Sun). Poseidon, who has never seen a dog, much less a 3-foot large 90-lb (actually, he's) 110-lb dog, is as poofy as a football. Tyler and Ratso, who've lived with him for the last 7 years, didn't give him a warm welcome either (I think they were rather getting used to being rulers of this new home).

Edited to say:
In case you were wondering, this is what Poseidon has looked like *ALL DAY*

Though, understandably, he's looking at a dog that is as tall as I, a 5-foot-9-inch-girl, am sitting down.

I'm sure she'll still grow a little, at least till she's 2 years old? Also she's a female. Our next door neighbor has a male Rottweiler, and from a rough estimate of the World War 3 that just erupted at the fence-line (both dogs charging the fence, barking furiously, clawing in each other's direction), the Rottweiler looks about 27" at the shoulder?

Well, I guess that is their nature... Rottweiler's are stoutier than Shepherds, and Kaiser is mainly just really tall and long, but doesn't have a lot of bulk to him.
